The Weather Where You Are | Writing Prompt #23
We're sleeping underneath the same big sky
In my story this week, I wrote about my instinct to check the weather where my son, Ian, lives. I live in the relatively placid Pacific Northwest, and he lives in the turbulent Upper Midwest, where thunderstorms and even tornados roam the atmosphere.
My story was ultimately about a parent’s terror over not knowing whether their child was safe, and then finding out that same child was truly in harm’s way. If you missed it, you can catch up here:
But I’m not going to ask you to write about tornados and terror this week. Instead, we’ll peer into what it means to have people you love far away.
